I have to say I thought this book would be another"how to"book about Alzheimer's,but it wasn't,it reminded me that we all as believers have a mission for God,we have to give ourselves over to Him.We must stop complaining that we have nothing to do,and get out there and make someone else's life a little bit better,a little brighter, amen.

No Never Alone “I Promised” eBook Aleda J Marshall Reviews

Remembering my youth, mom and dad used to take us to nursing homes to sing and bless those who were often just 'parked' there. It was always a blessing to be with them and see their deep appreciation for the visit. Trust this book will impact many to volunteer to go and bless.
No Never Alone is a most enjoyable story of author Aleda Marshall's testimony , struggle and return to know the love of God Our Father and his will and purpose in her life. Her message, and challenge, is to remember our aged, especially those locked away in prisons of lonliness, feeling unloved and forgotten. James 127 instructs us to care for our widows and orphans in their distress, though, sadly, the Church of North America falls short of this command. One delights in Aleda's story as she steps out in faith, becoming equipped and empowered in her visits to seniors, where the love and caring of Jesus, that is in all believers, flows from her to her new friends. Hebrews 1316 reminds us to do good and share with others in their needs. We easily share our money in offerings and donations, indeed a good work in itself. Marshall encourages us to share our time, perhaps more precious and difficult to part with in these busy times. Do read this work. Be blessed and inspired to visit someone you know or whom Holy Spirit places in your heart. And as your light shines you will bring new life to someone, and have the opportunity to share the Gospel message. And the King will say,"I tell you the truth. When you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you did it to me." Mathew 2540.
We are living in a world were people are losing their compassion for their neighbors. Many of us want to cut Medicaid, welfare and even programs for people that aren't poor like Medicare and Social Security. Ms. Marshall's book is a refreshing antidote to that trend.

The author clearly chronicles her daily activities with seniors, in nursing homes or even in their own homes, benefiting from extended care.

Ms. Marshall's book is a social call to arms about the needs of our seniors who have become lost without the support of friends and relatives, who, over the years, have slipped away. Clearly we all need to find the time and the resolve to commit resources to these people.

Much of the book is given over to the quotation of scripture, much of which is unfamiliar to me. I would have preferred more talk about Aleda's personal experiences and less disscussion about how our religious beliefs are supportive of our being caring and responsible neighbors.
Everyone should read this book. I really enjoyed it and learned a few things along the way. Excellent read for everyone.
I like the idea of being useful in later years.
This is a very good book. It makes the reader want to go out and volunteer in a nursing home ASAP! This is a good thing. I have worked in nursing homes for over 20 years and there are so many people who have no family or friends to visit. The loneliness can lead to depression very quickly. I'm glad this book was written and hope that it touches many.
I enjoyed reading Marshall's book. When I first saw it from The Vessel Project online and looked at it on , I quickly downloaded it. It made me think about my grandmother. Marshall's book opened my eyes to the elderly in homes that are not their own. It definitely felt like a call to action as I read the chapters. It was an inspirational read and I'm ready to see what God will do in my life in regards to the elderly. While reading, I felt like doing what Marshall did - visiting those who may feel alone because they too are God's children.
